Super Wal-Mart How I Love Thee

I've found you can divide consumers in two categories, you're loyal to Target or Wal-Mart. Not everyone's a fan of their politics, but as a consumer I adore Wal-Mart.

Are there fancy schmancy displays? Nope. Do they have a Starbucks? No there too. But their prices are unbeatable, the quality is all over the place and at the super stores the customer service is stellar. I'm a single mother of three. Being able to go to one store, with a parking ramp, to buy groceries and everything else under the sun in a one stop shop is terrific.

Don't even get me started on their generic line, Equate. God's gift to budgeters everywhere. Just yesterday I needed some allergy pills; a 10 count box of Claritin was $10.00, a 30 count box of Equate's version (same ingredients!) was $4.00. I haven't found an Equate product I don't like yet.

Well Carolynn, I like Wal-Mart don't get me wrong but I would rather shop for groceries at the grocery store because when I go to Wal-Mart I tend to spend way to much money. And.....I hate the crowds!!! Unless you go after midnight there is always a crowd.

first I must tell you that here in the south it is call 'the walmart' .. I am not sure why, byt when someone around here is going there they do not say "I am going to Walmart." It is always "I am going to THE Walmert." We also go to THE Target.

We shop at both these places all the while fussing about the crowd, and the lines, and the rude people there, and anything else that we dont like, but let me run out of a few things and where do we go ? You guessed it, THE Walmart.

Oh no!! My blog friend is a Wal Mart shopper? Say it isn't so. I am all down for convenience and one stop shop but, Target has Starbucks AND caffeine free diet Pepsi in the fountain drinks. So, I can get me some petite vanilla scones, venti xtra caffeine coffee, large decaf diet pepsi and some cleaning products all in one trip.

I love that Seriously? is joining us under The Willow Tree. Her comments always make me laugh. Today's comment certainly does not disappoint.

I must admit that I am also a Target devotee. (Not THE Target, like Ron, just Target.) I am not sure if there are any Wal-Marts close to where we live.

Target makes my heart sing with joy after every visit. Now that I know where most of the items are located, it makes for a speedy visit too.

I'm a Target gal - through and through. And you are right. I don't think I've ever met anyone who wasn't loyal to one or the other. But, we can still be friends:)

I have yet to go to our local Super Wal-mart, even after much encouragement on your part. Not because I don't like Wal-mart, mostly because I'm lazy and Target is WAY closer. ;)

I, too, am a Target girl. For some reason California has not embraced the Super Wal-Mart phenomena and ours are few and far between. SO, as a result, a trip to Super Wal-Mart is kind of a big thing for me. Therefore it's Target all the way for me. =)

I do a little of both places, but I'm definitely a Wal-Mart girl - LOVE the prices!

I tried, tried, TRIED to be a loyal Target shopper. Because I do like Target. But I never, ever find clothes that fit me there. Never. I do at Wal-Mart.
I do like their $1 and $2 shopping bins and the fact that if I wanted a coffee, I could get a really good one there. But I hate paying the prices for said coffee; so that is no enticement for Target.
The kinds of things I normally buy is always cheaper at Wal-Mart. Always.
I do go to Target for variety, but walk out without spending a cent more often than not.

I try, I do try to spend my money at Target. Just doesn't happen very often.
