Hup Hup Hupt Hap-py Birfday!

Did you get the Cinderella reference? I do love me some Gus Gus. Disney movie lines like that people. It's a gift.

Today is my Golden Birthday, I'm 30! I've been waiting for this birthday all my life. True of every birthday I suppose, but this one I've planned since I figured out what a Golden Birthday was.

It's different than I thought it would be, but better. There's no outrageous black tie gold event, (ever mention I'm a fan of old 40's movies?) but I've figured out who I want to be and I'm working hard to get there. I say if it only took me to 30, maybe I'm not entirely late to the party afterall.

My family surprised me with a grown up dinner at a fancy restaurant last Saturday. And I don't mean it was fancy just because there was no drive through. I'm talking Fancy Schmancy! It was the first birthday party I've had in 7 years. It was one of those nights you want to go on and on and keep with you, locked up tight in your heart. They gave me a pair of gold earrings and a gold ring, with an open heart. Do you remember what my necklace says? "If your heart is open it can never stay broken."

Here's to ruining my diet with full force and to the next 30.

Say it With Me C-A-K-E,
Carolynn

AH HAPPY BIRTHDAY sweet FRIEND!
And golden even!!!
I really liked turning 30 too. I was ready to leave those 20's behind. I did the most growning and growing UP in my 20's now it's all about the comfort. I don't need to please people anymore, I don't need their acceptance, if they KNOW me they'll like me and if they don't want to know or like me, that's fine by me too.
So I'm thinking that if the 20 were growing up and the 30's are about being comfortable in your own skin, does that mean the party really starts in the 40s!!??
Cause I am READY to do some PAR-TAYING!
Awe, hell we can start in our 30s right? Now that we KNOW who we want to be.
Ok, so when we get together, we need to A) celebrate FREEDOM
B) Celebrate JOY
c) Celebrate AGE
It's gonna happen!

Well, who would have thought you would be where you are today.....you're almost there girl. You have a goal, you have a spot on the horizon that you are aiming towards, and a family that loves and accepts you. Only thing you are missing..... winning the lottery, but in a way, you already have. You've arrived at a place that even the lottery cannot provide, peace in your heart. Haven't made any plans yet have you? God's been laughing at me, so I assume that means no!

Love you lots, sorry my message is late.

Love, Patti, Colin, Audrey and Neal.

P.S. The rain may come, and the rain may go, but oh what a rainbow it can create when we really look for it.

Happy Mudders Day Carolynn!!!

Enjoy the hand made gifts, the slobbery kisses and the messy hugs, cause pretty soon the kids will stop doing that and start asking for money to buy your gift, and no matter what the handmade ones are the best!

Love Patti
