Stitches

Hello everyone. I am Carolynn's sister, Kat. While she is away in sunny Florida she has asked me to guest post for her. While I'm excited to guest post for all you lovely folks, I wish that I had better news to share.

She got a call this evening from X stating that her 5 year old son was in the ER waiting to get stitches in his forehead. Apparently, while out to dinner with X and his folks, he fell off his chair smacking his head on the floor and splitting it open. So, combined with losing his front teeth, he now has stitches in his forehead. Poor little guy. It sure is rough being 5.

Needless to say, Carolynn is upset. Not good news to get while she is trying to enjoy the first real vacation she's had in over 10 years. Please say a prayer for the little man that he'll heal quickly and make it through the rest of his visit with X with no further injuries.

Warmest Regards,
Kat

What a cool surprise, with terrible news. I was so hoping for her to be able to put her basket down, but I sure hope that she is documenting all of the "accidents" that the kids have while in Chris' care. It doesn't mean that he is inflicting them, that is not what I am implying, but it sure seems like they are not his first priority when it comes to his attention to them and the surroundings/risks that he is putting them in. They have a date with the court coming up soon don't they, to review the situation after 6 months, this would be enlightening information to present to the advocate or judge, which in turn at worst, make his visitations supervised and at best, limit the amount of time he has unsupervised time with them. It seems that when they were a "family" and Carolynn was being the watchful one, I don't remember hearing about this many accidents or doctor/emergency room visits. Now I could be wrong,.... but I would imagine that the court would feel the same way, given the proper information.

Love you, give everyone a hug....

Being young is a tough job just ask my daughter Montana. In the past week she managed to fall down 3 stairs, smack her head on a table, and scratch her face. I feel that I watch my kids pretty closely but sometimes it just happens. I will say some prayers for fast healing and limited boo boos the rest of the trip.

Enjoy your vacation and de-stress as much as you can. When you get back you can shower your kids with all the love you have for them, stitches and all. All will be well. "All these things shall work together for thy good..."

Ack! How do these things keep happening? I seriously hope those kids will be back with Carolynn soon. News like this is certainly not helpful while trying to enjoy a vacation, like you said, Kat.
